A mass brawl was prevented on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow

On January 21, 2008, a mass brawl between people from the Caucasus and neo-Nazis was prevented on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow.

More than 20 people, mostly immigrants from Armenia and Azerbaijan, were detained by the Ryazansky police station on the evening of January 21. Local residents turned to the police when a group of people from the Caucasus gathered in the Ryazansky Prospekt metro area began bullying passers-by. According to the detainees, they were going to start a fight with Nazi skins at the Estakada club (a traditional gathering place for neo-Nazi youth).

Initially, one of the versions of the conflict was a dispute between Armenian and Azerbaijani students about the territorial affiliation of Nagorno-Karabakh, but official sources do not confirm this information.

The detainees were released.
