"Islamic Enlightenment" calls on the President to review the Federal List of Extremist Materials

The Karelian regional public organization "Islamic education" calls on the Russians to turn to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to facilitate the revision of court decisions, on the basis of which the Federal List of Extremist Materials is compiled . in it Muslims consider it unreasonable to include some books on Islamic topics .

Here is the text of the appeal in full:

"Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich!

I ask you to pay attention to the problems caused by the latest court decisions, in accordance with which the Federal List of Extremist Materials is compiled.

For example, such books as "The Personality of a Muslim" (Muhammad Ali al-Hashimi), as well as "The Fundamentals of Islam", "The Biography of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and welcome", "The Fundamentals of the Islamic Faith" (the last three are included in the list without indicating author, year of issue, publisher), undeservedly got into this list.

I find it necessary to reconsider the court decisions on this issue, to involve authoritative Muslim theologians of Russia as experts, once again conduct a reliable analysis of all materials and issue a fair verdict.
