Anti-Semitic test in a Murmansk newspaper

January 24, 2007 in the newspaper "Polyarnaya Pravda" (Murmansk) was printed a test called "Are you a cultured person?". One of the test questions was: "In your family ... were there Jews, were there no Jews?" In the case of a positive answer, the author "reassured" the test subject: " "Do not be upset. You are a complete nonentity. But you are adored .

The Jewish community of Murmansk addressed the editorial office with a letter in which they expressed their indignation at the offensive material. In response, the newspaper's deputy editor-in-chief T. Kolyasnikova agreed with the claims and promised that the newspaper would publicly apologize to the community.
