Nazi skinheads arrested in Moscow

On February 5, 2008, it became known that 4 Nazi skinheads from the "Ryno gang" were taken under arrest in Moscow with the sanction of a court. They were charged under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder) and Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“actions aimed at inciting national hatred or enmity”).

The teenagers were detained from 16 to 24 January 2008. Denis Lavrenenkov, 18, was arrested in court on January 16, Ivan Kitaikin, 19, on January 18, and Svetlana Avvakumova, 21, and Nikolai Dagaev, 16, on January 24. "All of them were detained as part of an investigation into the case of a group of skinheads accused of killing several dozen people of non-Slavic appearance, which was headed by an 18-year-old student from Yekaterinburg, Artur Ryno," said Mikhail Ionkin, official representative of the Investigative Department for Moscow of the Investigative Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation . They are charged with the murder of about 20 people. "It is possible that in the future this figure may increase," - said the representative of the capital SU SKP. In total, 9 people are involved in the case.

It should be reminded that in April 2007 were arrested Artur Ryno and 18-year-old Pavel Skachevsky , suspected of attacking K. Abrahamyan, a native of Armenia, as a result of which the victim died.

During the investigation, A. Ryno confessed to the ethnically motivated murder of 37 people. Other members of the group were detained. A. Ryno also said that he was familiar with Sergei Klimuk and Nikolai Korolyov, accused of organizing an explosion at the Cherkizovsky market. Later, A. Ryno retracted all his testimony. Nevertheless, even after that, the investigators were able to prove the involvement of the young man in a number of other crimes. P. Skachevsky refused to cooperate with the investigation and still does not admit his guilt.

Arrested Denis Lavrenenkov had previously been involved in the case of an attempt on the life of a 20-year-old anti-fascist student in December 2006. However, his involvement was not proven.
