Development of the case of the terrorist attack at the Rocks Club

On February 9, 2008, in St. Petersburg, the Main Department of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported on the progress of the investigation into the attempted terrorist attack at the Rocks Club.

A search was conducted in the apartment of an acquaintance of one of the suspects in the case, unemployed, born in 1989, and an active member of the neo-Nazi organization Anti-Antifa. As a result, 96 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber, 8 cartridges of Mauser caliber 7.62 mm, a hard drive from a computer with photographs and personal data of Antifa members, videos of “Russian Marches”, “extremist” literature, and videos of beatings were seized foreign citizens.

In addition, another active member of Anti-Antifa was identified, born in 1980, unemployed, who “voluntarily gave out TNT with a total weight of about 4 kg from a cache equipped in the basement of his house.”

An acquaintance of one of the suspects was released on his own recognizance as part of a criminal case for an attempted terrorist attack, and no preventive measure was taken against the person who issued the TNT.

Let us remember that in October 2007, the investigative department of the investigative committee at the St. Petersburg prosecutor's office charged three suspects with attempting a terrorist attack at the Rocks Club. All three detainees are charged under Part 2, paragraph a, Art. 205 through Art. 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted terrorist act committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
