Picket against Boris Moiseev's concert in Cheboksary

On February 11, a picket was held in Cheboksary against the concert of Boris Moiseev. It began an hour before the start of the concert and was accompanied by prayer and church hymns. According to news agency REGNUM , the picketers were holding posters with the inscriptions "Shame on the perverts" and "Let's restore article 121 of the Criminal Code."

One of the organizers of the action, Father Vladimir, an employee of the Vvedensky Cathedral, said that holding the Moiseev concert was "nothing but a veiled form of propaganda of homosexuality." According to him, "no principles of tolerance and freedom of expression in art can be higher than the spiritual foundations and moral traditions of the people, according to which homosexuality is considered a shameful perversion, a serious mental illness that should be hidden, not promoted."

Father Vladimir said that a few days before the artist's arrival, Cheboksary Orthodox Christians sent a letter to the mayor's office with a request not to allow the singer's performances and notified the city authorities about their action.

Recall that pickets against the concerts of B. Moiseev were repeatedly held in other cities ( Novokuznetsk , Dubna , etc.)
