On the evening of February 17, 2008, in a fixed-route taxi near the Dinamo Sports Palace stop, two (according to other sources, three) neo-Nazis attacked foreign passengers - three citizens of India and a citizen of Kenya, beat them and disappeared.
The incident occurred when the injured foreign students of the Voronezh State Medical Academy were returning home from a store. Initially, it was reported that only Indian citizens Augustine Robin, born in 1985, a 5th year student at VSMA, and first-year students Surendran Vijayakumari Sunej, born in 1987, were injured. and Panmei Pointanmei, born in 1985 Later it turned out that a Kenyan citizen was also injured. Two victims were forced to seek medical attention.
First, the case was initiated under paragraph "a" of part 2 of article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (beating, committed out of hooligan motives). However, later it was reclassified and the hate motive appeared in the accusation.
