In Perm, extremism was found in the article “Putin is our good Hitler”

On February 18, 2008, the editor-in-chief and executive secretary of the newspaper "For a person", published by the Perm regional human rights center, were summoned to the prosecutor's office of the Perm Territory to give explanations as part of a check on Igor Averkiev's article "Putin is our good Hitler."

The reason was a warning from the regional administration of Rossvyazokhrankultura issued to the newspaper on February 12.

A December 2007 article draws analogies between the political figures of Vladimir Putin and the early Adolf Hitler. The author, asserting the similarity of these two political figures, historical eras and public sentiments, however, emphasizes that Russia and Putin have not yet crossed the line beyond which this similarity will be complete. At the end of the article, the author quotes Svetlana Makovetskaya: "To be light is a choice. To be dark is circumstances. Change them . "

Rossvyazokhrankultura considered that the last call could be understood as "a public call to change the foundations of the constitutional system" and asked the prosecutor's office to check whether Averkiev's article contains signs of extremist activity.

On March 24, 2008, the materials for verifying the legality of the article were transferred to the FSB Department for the Perm Territory, where they stated that the actions of the authors of the publication and the staff of the editorial office of the newspaper "Za cheloveka" contained certain signs of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity").

On March 26, the audit materials were sent to the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for the Perm Territory for a decision to initiate a case.
