Attack on Hare Krishnas in Nizhny Novgorod

March 23, 2008 in Nizhny Novgorod on the street. Bolshaya Pokrovskaya, a teenager who was in a group of like-minded people, shouting "We are patriots, we will kick you out of here" , threw a glass bottle at a group of followers of the Krishna Consciousness movement.

A teenager hit a bottle in the head of a 42-year-old native of Armenia, who was in a group of Hare Krishnas.

On this fact, the department of inquiry of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Nizhny Novgorod region opened a criminal case under p.b. part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed based on political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity against any social group).

The attacker is being identified.
