Orthodox Christians oppose B. Moiseev’s concert in Kolpino

Community of the Church of St. Nicholas of the city of Kolpino (Leningrad region) became the initiator of protests against the concert of Boris Moiseev scheduled for May 21. The Orthodox are demanding that a "well-known propagandist of homosexuality" not be allowed to speak on the eve of the feast of the transfer of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

"The performances of Moiseev clearly show people the perversion and degradation by which the libertine lives," the appeal of the residents of Kolpino says. They recall that in the USSR criminal liability was provided for propaganda of homosexuality.

"We believe that it is the duty of any honest and decent citizen of St. Petersburg, regardless of his religious and social affiliation, to support the position of this Orthodox community," the appeal says.

It should be reminded that not long before B. Moiseev's arrival was opposed by the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Karelia.
