At the end of April 2008, it became known that on April 3, without notifying the defendants, the Nazran court recognized one of the materials published on the Ingushetia.Ru website as extremist. On this basis, the Ingush prosecutor's office demands the initiation of a criminal case against the editor of the site, Roza Malsagova, under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred).
We are talking about an interview of businessman Musa Keligov with the newspaper Vremya Novostey, reprinted on the website Ingushetia.Ru, in which he speaks rather harshly about the President of the Republic Murat Zyazikov.
We do not know what specific signs of extremist activity were found by the court in this interview; we were unable to find any in it.
Let us remind you that this is not the first attempt to close the site.
On May 4, 2008, it also became known that Roza Malsagova was fined for the fact that the site of which she is the editor is not registered as a media outlet. In May 2007, the website of the Zyryanskaya Zhizn newspaper found itself in a similar situation. Let us remind you that the law does not oblige Internet sites to register as mass media.
