On May 15, a trial began in Akhtubinsk in the case of the movement "Toward God's Power". Four of its participants are charged under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of an extremist community and participation in it), and two of them are also charged under paragraph "c" of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity on the grounds of race, nationality, attitude to religion).
The purpose of the movement, according to Strana.ru , was "the formation of a negative attitude towards Judaism as a religious movement and its followers, by exposing a negative image of the Jews and asserting the innate depravity of this nation."
