On June 10, the texts of telegrams that the Union plans to send to the Council of Bishops, which will be held from June 24 to June 29, 2008, were published on the official website of the Russian National Union (RONS). RONS members intend to speak out in support of BishopDiomede , as well as against “ecumenical contacts” and globalization.
Here is the text of the telegrams in full:
We are waiting for the Council’s appeal to the authorities of the Russian Federation on the introduction of a passport for a citizen of the Russian Federation without anti-Christian symbols, codes and microchips and a nationality column.
Appeal to the Council - Stop the persecution of the Orthodox, we do not want to be controlled by elements of electronic systems, we demand an alternative accounting system
Your Holiness and Archpastors The Lord is above us and with those who are faithful. Do not give up our freedom, we are waiting for an appeal for an alternative system, stop discrimination against Orthodox Christians.
