Representatives of the Public Chamber ask to check Vladimir Kvachkov’s statements for extremism

On June 11, 2008, the chairmen of three committees of the Public Chamber sent a letter to Prosecutor General Yury Chaika with a request to check the statements of Colonel Vladimir Kvachkov for extremism.

The letter was signed by the chairmen of the commissions on interethnic relations and freedom of conscience Nikolai Svanidze, on information policy and freedom of speech Pavel Gusev and public control over the activities of law enforcement agencies Anatoly Kucherena.
