Nationalist incident during the celebration of Sabantuy in Ukhta (Komi Republic)

On June 21, 2008, in Ukhta (Komi Republic), on the eve of the city-wide holiday "Sabantuy", organized by the Tatar national-cultural autonomy, at the venue of the festive events, in the park of culture and recreation, city residents saw "a mannequin attached to a tree, hung by the neck of a person with the inscription "Chock" ... A model of an explosive device was attached to the mannequin.

On June 22, 2008, was initiated a criminal case on this fact under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity). The suspect was arrested.
