The letter, signed by Valery Vinogradov, deputy mayor of Moscow in the Moscow government, notes that the Moscow mayor's office fully shares the concern about the facts reflected in the appeal. “Fully aware of the perniciousness of crimes motivated by ethnic, racial and religious hatred committed in the capital and affecting the climate of interethnic relations in the country as a whole, I inform you that the executive authorities of Moscow, together with law enforcement agencies, are implementing a set of measures aimed at preventing such phenomena ," the letter says.

The letter also states that the Moscow City Duma has approved and is implementing a comprehensive plan of measures aimed at preventing extremist manifestations, harmonizing interethnic and interfaith relations, and preventing xenophobia.
