Russian President Dmitry Medvedev announced the transfer to the Russian Orthodox Church for free use of particles of holy relics from the Moscow Kremlin Museum, Interfax reports .
Among them are a part of the robe of the Most Holy Theotokos and relics of St. Prince Vladimir.
"We understand how important this act is for believers, for the entire Orthodox world," Dmitry Medvedev added.
The Russian Orthodox Church, in the presence of the President, was also given the relics of John the Baptist, St. Basil and other saints.
