The authorities of Chuvashia decided to transfer several cultural monuments to the ownership of the Cheboksary-Chuvash diocese

Prime Minister of Chuvashia Sergei Gaplikov has signed a decree transferring nine republican historical and cultural monuments to the ownership of the Cheboksary-Chuvash diocese, IA Regnum reports . The property will be transferred free of charge.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic was instructed to issue security obligations for monuments of the 17th - 20th centuries. Two of them are located in the capital of Chuvashia: the House at the Vvedensky Cathedral built in 1880 on the street. Sespel and the building of the monastery school, where V.I. Chapaev studied (mid-19th century) on the street. 2nd Communal Sloboda. Three monuments of history and culture are located in the Yadrinsky district: the Trinity Church in the village of Bolshie Shemerdyany (XVIII century), as well as two Nikolsky churches - in the village of Chiganary (1898) and in the village of Nikolskoye (beginning of the XX century). Also, the Kazan Church with a bell tower (built in 1887) and the House at the Kazan Church (XVII-XVIII centuries) in Alatyr, the Kazan Church in Tsivilsk (built in 1973) and the Trinity Cathedral with a bell tower and a gatehouse in village of Poretskoye, Poretsky district (XVIII-XIX centuries).
