The mosque in the village of Matmasy will not be demolished

The mosque in the village of Matmasy, the demolition of which the head of the administration of Tyumen sought , will not be demolished.

However, as of July 2008, the mosque is still not completed. The initiator of the construction was an unregistered community subordinate to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Asian part of Russia (DUM AChR). After the lawsuit appeared, the community had to urgently register with the Spiritual Administration of the Tyumen Region. Now the two spiritual authorities are arguing over the mosque, which slows down construction.

"Because of fitnah and gossip, they can close the only mosque in Matmasy," IslamNews quotes the imam of the mosque, Suleiman Sadretdinov.
