Co-chairman of the Interregional public movement "People's Council" Oleg Kassin appealed to the Moscow prosecutor's office with a statement seeking criminal prosecution of the organizers and participants of public hearings in support ofYuri Samodurov and Andrei Erofeev , held in the Aidan Salakhova gallery on May 29.
According to the applicant, photographs of clergy and representatives of the Orthodox community with offensive captions were posted on the walls of the gallery. “I regard the posting of posters with offensive signatures by the organizers of the so-called public hearings at Winzavod not only as their desire to personally insult me and other representatives of the public and the Church, but also as a provocative hooligan act aimed at a gross violation of public order, committed by a group of people preliminary conspiracy. I consider their actions also aimed at inciting religious hatred,” the statement says.
O. Kassin asks the prosecutor's office to conduct an investigation, "to identify the organizers and perpetrators of this hooligan act and bring them to justice."
