Vandals who painted swastikas on the FSB building were sentenced in Blagoveshchensk

On June 23, 2008, the Blagoveshchensk City Court (Amur Region) delivered a sentence under Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism) 3 residents of the city, who in July 2007 painted the building of the FSB administration for the Amur Region and the memorial in honor of awarding the Amur Region with the Order of Lenin with swastikas and nationalist inscriptions.

All participants in the crime received suspended sentences. Two of the defendants received 1.8 g of probation each, the third (21-year-old young man who painted swastikas on two buildings) received 2.2 g of probation. The young people paid damages to the organizations that filed the lawsuit.

On July 3, 2008, the court decision entered into force.
