The first anti-Georgian attack occurred in Chelyabinsk

On August 9, 2008, the first anti-Georgian attack was noted. In Chelyabinsk, two tipsy taxi passengers argued with a Georgian-born taxi driver about the events in South Ossetia. Passengers first tried to crash the car and then attacked the driver.

Further media reports are contradictory. According to one information, as a result of the brawl, one person was injured - the driver of the car, Vali Navruzov. According to other sources, Vali Navruzov is the second victim who tried to stand up for the beaten driver, whose name is not known.

Versions of further developments also diverge. The fight was stopped by the police. The attackers were taken to a sobering-up station, the injured driver was taken to the police department. However, according to some sources, his application was accepted, but according to others - no. It is not reported that a criminal case has been initiated, despite the fact that police officers recognize the motive of hatred in the incident.
