The Leninsky District Court of Astrakhan issued a guilty verdict in the case of the participation of five local residents in the extremist community Jamaat Muvahids, Interfax reports .
The court found all members of the extremist community guilty under paragraph "c" part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity, committed by an organized group) and part 2 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in an extremist community) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A. Gadzhiev, in addition to the specified crimes, was found guilty under part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of an extremist community).
By a court verdict, A. Hajiyev was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, ordinary members of the group were sentenced to various terms - from three years to three years and two months in prison each.
The convicts will serve their sentences in a penal colony of general regime.
