Sentence to Savva Terentyev confirmed

On August 19, 2008, the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic confirmed the conviction of Savva Terentyev, handed down on July 7.

Let us remind you that a Syktyvkar blogger was sentenced to one year of suspended imprisonment for one statement on LiveJournal addressed to police officers, who as a result were recognized as a victimized social group.

On January 11, 2009, Savva Terentyev appealed to the European Court of Human Rights. He wants to recover compensation for moral damage from Russia in the amount of 3.5 thousand euros.
