On August 16, 2008 in Vorkuta (Komi Republic) a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred) on the fact of the systematic appearance of aggressive neo-Nazi and ethnocentric graffiti appearing on the walls of city buildings.
Among the inscriptions were: "Russians are alive", "Russians arm yourself", "We are going" , as well as neo-Nazi graffiti.
According to the city prosecutor's office, a 21-year-old man suspected of these "arts" has now been identified and detained. However, according to the investigation, graffiti is not the work of individual enthusiasts, but of an organized group. The remaining members of the group are currently being established.
