Explosion in a Moscow cafe

On September 4, 2008 in Moscow on General Belov Street on the veranda of the summer cafe-restaurant "Artizan" during the funeral of a deceased native of Azerbaijan, an explosion occurred. Investigators are questioning eyewitnesses to the incident. With their help, operatives are trying to create a composite photo of the person who threw the explosive device. The search for the dark-colored VAZ-2109 car in which the criminal allegedly fled is also ongoing, the agency’s interlocutor said.

In connection with the explosion in a summer cafe in the south of Moscow, a criminal case has been opened under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons) and Article 222 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, their main parts , ammunition, explosives and explosive devices).
