A rally in support of the "2x2" channel was held in St. Petersburg

On September 21, a rally was held in St. Petersburg in support of the 2x2 TV channel, which is trying to appeal in court the decision of the district prosecutor's office to recognize the content of one of the episodes of the South Park cartoon as extremist . About 300 people took part in it, Interfax reports .

The action took place in the garden named after Chernyshevsky. Participants were holding banners depicting characters from cartoons "South Park", "The Simpsons" and others.

Around the perimeter of the central flower bed, the organizers placed four TV sets showing cartoons. After a while, four people dressed in black and pretending to be intelligence agents appeared in the garden, who turned off the TVs, hanging signs on them with the inscription "Signal is coded."

The organizers of the action collected signatures in support of the TV channel and proposed to declare April 2 the Day of cartoon for adults.

Recall that a similar picket was held in Moscow on 13 September.
