A rally was held in Moscow in support of Bishop Diomede

On October 6, another rally was held in support of the defrocked Bishop Diomede. A group of parishioners of the Church of St. Nicholas on Bersenevka, led by Galina Simonova, the former director of the newspaper Spirit of a Christian, banned by the Synod, gathered in Chisty Lane, Interfax reports.

“A group of women in dirty black cloaks walked in a religious procession around an office building that has nothing to do with the patriarchy,” said Kirill Frolov, head of the Moscow branch of the Union of Orthodox Citizens. "Anathema to Latinists and demons!" - Diomede's supporters chanted.

Initially, the meeting was planned to be held at the St. Danilov Monastery, where the meeting of the Synod began, at which it would have to finally approve or reject the decision of the Council of Bishops regarding Diomede.

This is not the first time that laity and clergy have expressed support for Bishop Diomede.
