Attacks on foreigners in Moscow

On the night of October 11, 2008, a 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan was wounded in the south of Moscow. The woman was taken to the hospital. She suffered multiple penetrating stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. The citizen of Uzbekistan died from her injuries. On October 12, 2008, a Moscow resident suspected of her murder was detained.

On October 12, 2008, in Moscow, on Smolensky Boulevard, two citizens of Tajikistan, 25 and 28 years old, were attacked, both were stabbed. The victims claim that they did not know the attacker. The reason for the attack is unknown. The citizens of Tajikistan died from their injuries. A criminal case was opened on this fact. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Let us note that, on the one hand, both attacks do not resemble attacks by Nazi skinheads; judging by the description, they were committed by aggressive individuals. On the other hand, both of these incidents are distinguished by unmotivated violence with the use of knives.
