A nationalist rally took place in Moscow

On October 12, 2008, a rally organized by the Movement against Illegal Immigration took place in Moscow. About 150 people took part in the action (according to other sources, about 500), among them representatives of the DPNI, ROD, SRN, NPF "Pamyat", SS. Those gathered demanded to find the killer of 15-year-old Anya Beshnova, whose body was found on October 1 on Kubinka Street with signs of violent death. The event was initially announced as a “gathering” and advertised on far-right websites.

Participants of the event gathered on Kubinka Street, near the Mozhaisky district government building, and marched towards the Kuntsevsky market. During the action, a short rally took place, at which DPNI leader Alexander Belov spoke.

Supporters of the DPNI "intended to reduce the meaning of the demands to tightening migration policy. Representatives of the DPNI claimed that people from the Caucasus were involved in the murder of Beshnova."

Participants in the event adopted an appeal to the authorities demanding “to stop the mass importation of migrants into Russia.”

Police officers detained 56 people. The detainees - mostly DPNI activists - were taken to the police station, where reports of an administrative offense were drawn up. Later, most of the detainees were released.

Alexander Belov and member of the National Council of the DPNI, head of the “Russian Order” Vladimir Tor remained in custody. They are charged with disobeying police officers and organizing an unauthorized rally.

Let us note that in this case, as usual in DPNI practice , a “gathering” was declared, which allowed the organizers not to approve the event. However, unlike previous years, this time the ultra-right did not manage to maintain the “gathering” format, and apparently that is why some of the people were detained.
