The Akhtubinsky city court of the Astrakhan region passed a sentence against three members of the extremist organization "To the Bogodraviya", Interfax reports . The organization was declared extremist in September 2008.
Sergei Pospelov, a civilian employee of one of the military units, Valery Salnikov, a senior lecturer at a branch of the Moscow Aviation Institute, Viktor Rogozhin, a doctor at the Akhtubinsky Central District Hospital, and a deputy of the Akhtubinsky District Council, were found guilty under Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in an extremist community). V. Salnikov and S. Pospelov were also found guilty of inciting hatred or enmity (paragraph "c" of part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and S. Pospelov of leading an extremist community (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) .
The court sentenced S. Pospelov to 3.5 years, V. Salnikov to three years, and V. Rogozhkin to a year in prison to be served in a colony-settlement.
