Three members of Hizb ut-Tahrir have been convicted in Bashkiria.

26-year-old Ainur Sagadeev was sentenced to a year in prison to be served in a colony-settlement for organizing a Hizb ut-Tahrir cell on the territory of Bashkiria (part 1 of article 282-2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). For participation in its activities (part 2 of article 282-2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), Ainur Baisuakov was sentenced to a year of imprisonment on probation with a probationary period of one year, Alexei Putintsev - to eight months in prison with a probationary period of eight months.

According to the prosecutor's office , A. Sagadeev carried out "anti-constitutional and anti-Russian propaganda among believers, trying to influence their religious feelings, provided them with extremist literature, leaflets, brochures and other accessories."
