There was no murder of a punk girl in Irkutsk

On November 27, 2008, the results of a journalistic investigation were published, which showed that there was no sensational murder of a 16-year-old girl, Olga Ruksyla, in Irkutsk. There was no girl with that name.

The refutation became possible thanks to a journalistic investigation by an employee of the Irkutsk newspaper SM Number One, conducted jointly with Irkutsk and Moscow anti-fascists.

The sources of misinformation, as it turned out, were a young man and a girl who presented themselves as friends of the murdered woman (the young man also presented a law enforcement officer's certificate, claiming that he was investigating a murder).

The motives behind this falsification remain unknown.
