A sentence was passed in Petrozavodsk under Article 282

On December 9, 2008, the Petrozavodsk City Court delivered a verdict in the case of M., accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity) for posting on the Internet a folder "Only for Russian fascists" containing calls for violence against immigrants, including immigrants from the Caucasus and Muslims.

The defendant fully admitted his guilt and petitioned for consideration of the criminal case in a special manner.

The court found M. guilty and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment (conditionally) with a probationary period of 2 years.
