Attack on black students in Belgorod

On December 11, 2008, in Belgorod, young men in camouflage and heavy soldier's boots attacked two Senegalese, students of the preparatory department of BelSU.

The Senegalese were walking through the underground passage from the hostel to the supermarket when they were attacked by Nazi skinheads. One of the students escaped and ran to call the university security for help. The second young man was thrown to the ground and kicked. The attackers managed to escape before the guards arrived at the scene. Through an interpreter, the victims described the signs of the attackers to the guards, and they were immediately reported to the police. Ten minutes later, a patrol at the station square spotted a group of young men matching the description and detained them. The detainees, who are 16-17 years old, confessed to the attack, and one of them said that they were all neo-Nazis.

The victim, 23-year-old Senegalese Gay Paul-Mori, was hospitalized with a bruised kidney and abdominal injuries.

The issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate infliction of minor bodily harm) and Art. 116 (beatings).

18-year-old medical school student Konstantin Ts. and 24-year-old Aleksey K., who is not working anywhere, were convicted for beating the Senegalese. At the beginning of June 2009, the court verdict entered into force .
