Investigative Committee on the murder of Stanislav Markelov: possibly neo-Nazis

On January 20, 2009, the Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia held a meeting, the central issue of which was the investigation into the murder of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova on January 19, 2009.

According to the press service of the SKP, in the case of a crime, which is currently classified under clause “a”, part 2 of Art. 105 (murder of two or more persons), all versions are considered, mainly those related to the professional activities of S. Markelov, including the version that the crime was committed by neo-Nazis.
