In January 2009, in Kovrov (Vladimir region), a 19-year-old young man painted xenophobic graffiti on the walls of three residential buildings using a spray can and a stencil. One of the inscriptions contained a call for the use of violence against persons of "Caucasian nationality."
The suspect was arrested.
This became known from the report on the transfer of the case under Part 1 of Art. 282 (inciting national hatred committed in public) to the court. In early May 2010, the court sentenced the defendant to 120 hours of compulsory work.
