Political extremism was discussed in the Stavropol region

Dozens of semi-underground extremist groups operate in the Stavropol Territory. This was discussed on February 12, 2009 at the first meeting of the socio-political council under the governor of the region.

Sergei Ushakov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory, said that among these organizations are youth groups that "share radical, including nationalist ideas."

As countermeasures, an active dialogue at the diaspora level, "involving the Cossacks in work with young people" were proposed .
