The Bashkir mufti calls on the Muslims of the republic not to succumb to “provocative actions” aimed at removing him from the post of chairman of the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of the Republic of Belarus

The Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SDM) of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mufti Nurmukhamet Nigmatullin sent an appeal to the imams and Muslims of the republic. In this message, he urged not to succumb to “provocative actions” aimed at convening an extraordinary congress of Muslims with the aim of changing the leadership of the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of the Republic of Belarus.

N. Nigmatullin emphasizes that this initiative is aimed at destabilizing the religious situation in Bashkortostan and causing a split in the Muslim community of the republic.

“The leadership of the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of the Republic of Belarus declares its categorical rejection of such actions, calls not to give in to provocative calls and to coordinate actions with the Spiritual Administration,” the appeal says.
