The Government of the Russian Federation transfers ownership of two buildings to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of federally owned religious objects "for use for functional purposes" to the stavropegial monastery of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The Trinity-Sergius Lavra was given the buildings of the old Lavra hotel and wine cellars located in Sergiev Posad. In fact, the hotel is already used for its intended purpose. At the end of September 2008, she resumed work for pilgrims.
