On March 19, 2009, in Yekaterinburg, a young man beat up a native of Tajikistan.
A group of young people entered the store on Weiner Street. They sat down on the floor, taking out the liquor they had brought with them. A 47-year-old store security guard reprimanded them, after which one of the young people, an 18-year-old student of one of the city's universities, attacked the man, shouting "Russia is for the Russians!" and beat him up.
On the same day, a criminal case was opened under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity).
This became known from the news about the sentencing of the attacker.
