On March 19, the Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Yekaterinburg declared the warning about the inadmissibility of extremist activity issued by the prosecutor's office to the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses in the city of Asbest illegal.
In November 2008, the Ordzhonikidze court recognized the same warning as legitimate. However, the Jehovah's Witnesses appealed this decision to the regional court, and on February 3, 2009, the case was sent to the Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Yekaterinburg for a new trial.
In addition, it became known that on May 21, 2008, the prosecutor's office issued another warning to Jehovah's Witnesses, an organization in Yekaterinburg. On September 17, 2008, the prosecutor's office itself withdrew this warning, since a criminal case under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
