Rosbalt received a warning for reader comments

In March 2009, Roskomnadzor issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violating anti-extremist legislation to the Rosbalt news agency for readers’ comments on an article entitled “A Tajik was beheaded for Anya Beshnova,” published on December 11, 2008.

The article is neutral and informative, but in the heated discussion among readers there are indeed racist comments and even calls for violence. However, we do not consider it legitimate to issue a warning to the media not for the material itself, but for the opinion of readers on the forum.
