President of Bashkiria Murtaza Rakhimov accused the federal authorities of violating the rights and interests of the national republics.
At the conference "Nation-State Formations in the History and Political Practice of Russian Federalism" M. Rakhimov stated that the central authorities were striving to "strengthen the influence of Orthodoxy in schools."
"Instilling Orthodoxy will have a negative effect on people who adhere to other beliefs, will cause a backlash and push them towards radicalism," the president of Bashkiria believes.
