On March 25, 2009, the prosecutor of the city of Asbest, Sverdlovsk Region, filed a lawsuit with the city court to recognize the materials of Jehovah's Witnesses as extremist.
What kind of materials in question, is not reported.
In the summer of 2008, the prosecutor's office had already filed a similar claim, but it was not accepted by the court for consideration.
Let us recall that last week a warning about the inadmissibility of extremist activity, issued earlier to one of the leaders of the local organization of Jehovah's Witnesses, was declared illegal. In addition, the investigation continues in a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 (incitement of hatred, promotion of exclusivity and humiliation of human dignity on the basis of attitude to religion).
