The Pastoral Council of Protestant Churches of the Voronezh Region proposes to the head of the region, Alexei Gordeev, to consider the establishment of a Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations under the Governor of the Voronezh Region. This body, according to the Pastor's Council, is necessary to discuss a range of issues of social and spiritual ministry, similar to what exists at the federal level under the President of the Russian Federation.
The leaders of the Voronezh Protestants believe that the Governor's Council for Interaction with Religious Organizations will help unite representatives of different faiths in matters of social service. “Our churches,” says the text of the appeal of the Pastoral Council of Protestant Churches to the Governor, “are open to cooperation and work as part of the council with all religious associations represented on the territory of the Voronezh region” in the spirit of respect for partners.
