In the Krasnodar Territory, a sentence was passed on an entrepreneur who ordered the demolition of a cross at the site of a church construction

On April 2, the Adler District Court of Sochi sentenced businessman Gennady Bragin. He was found guilty. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism), because in 2006, he ordered to demolish the cross at the construction site of an Orthodox church in the village of Aibga, Adlersky district, Krasnodar Territory.

In January 2009, Bragin was found guilty, but released from liability due to the statute of limitations for the lawsuit. The businessman himself, in court, demanded the demolition of the buildings of the future temple being built by the monks of the skete of the Valaam Monastery.

Now the court has sentenced Bragin to a fine of 30 thousand rubles.

On May 13, the Krasnodar Regional Court confirmed the verdict of the Adler District Court of Sochi.
