On April 3, 2009, it became known that in Kostroma, police officers seized lighters with a swastika from an entrepreneur who sold them on the market.
According to the trader, he bought lighters at a wholesale base in Moscow and did not notice what was depicted on them.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact. Probably, the case was initiated under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (propaganda and public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols).
