The Ministry of Culture allocated funds for the repair of Orthodox churches in the Pskov region

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has allocated about 45 million rubles for the repair of cultural heritage sites in the Pskov region. According to the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Pskov Region for Culture Natalya Sergeeva, the list of objects subject to restoration includes: fresco paintings in the Snetogorsky Monastery and the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral of the Mirozhsky Monastery, the Pskov Kremlin, the walls of the Okolny city of Pskov, the Izborsk fortress and the Pskov churches - Epiphanies from Zapskovye, Vasily on the Hill, Kosma and Damian from Gremyachaya Mountain.

Funds are allocated within the framework of the federal target program "Culture of Russia" for 2006-2010."

Let us remind you that preparations are being made for the transfer of the architectural ensemble of the Mirozhsky Monastery to the free use of the Russian Orthodox Church, which the regional Committee for Culture opposed .
