The prosecutor's office of Bashkortostan asks the court to recognize as extremist a newspaper issue with text about the superiority of Islam

Prosecutor of Bashkortostan Sergei Khurtin applied to the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa with an application to recognize the January 2009 Maidan newspaper N 1 (3/13) as extremist.

According to the prosecutor's office, "the publications of this newspaper contain appeals that contribute to the formation of an opinion among readers about the inevitability, predestination and desirability of active actions, a "revolution" that will liberate Bashkiria from Russia; about the exclusivity, superiority of a person on the grounds of attitude to religion - Islam and national identity ".
